Trip to Tall Ship and Riverside Museum
On Thursday 2nd May, Room 5, along with Rooms 3 and 6, went to visit the Tall Ship (the Glenlee) and the Riverside Museum in Glasgow. This was as a result of our Pirates and Ships topic in Term 3. What a wonderful day we had! On board the Glenlee, we got to dress up like pirates and talk like them, learn to sing and act like pirates and take part in a treasure hunt to find Captain Scallywag's treasure - and we succeeded!
In the museum, we had fun looking at all the different modes of transport from across the years, and looking in all the old shops in the street. Some of us posed for an old-fashioned photograph. It took a long, long time for the photo to be taken - not like the cameras we use now!
We had a wonderful day and are so thankful to the wonderful helpers who came with us - especially Mrs Weir and Kerryn's mum and Heather's gran who worked with our class!
