Animal Man - End of Term Reward

What a super reward for our first term in Primary 2! The Animal Man came to our school bringing with him some amazing creatures. There were snakes, frogs and mice. Also a duck, chicken, rabbit, rat and many more! Have a look at our photos!

Making a healthy sandwich

As part of our Technology and Writing work, we worked with our shoulder partners to design, make, eat and write about a healthy sandwich. We chose to make a banana sandwich with light sunflower spread and wholemeal bread. We had to take turns with our partner and also work on our spreading, chopping and cutting skills using a plastic knife. The results were great!! Most of us really enjoyed eating our sandwiches and some of us chose to take them home instead. We had to concentrate very carefully while we were working because our next task was to write about it! We had to write a set of instructions using the openers First, Then, Next and Finally. We had to remember to take a new line for each new instruction we were writing, and had to make sure the instructions were in the right order. What a busy morning and all the results were great!
